Locality: | USA. Alabama. Mobile: Auburn University Ornamental Horticulture Research Center. Take N McGregor Ave. south from Springhill Ave., drive 0.25 mi. and turn R at stop sign; take immediate L (across from fire station) and turn in gate to OHRC; follow drive to fence, turn R,; plant is growing along fence. |
Habitat: | Vines are growing in waste area along drive in full sun and partial shade, on fence and plants up to 10 ft. hifh. Growing in and among Ligustrum sinense, Clematis virginiana, C. terniflora, Triadica sebifera, Cinnamomum camphora and cherry laurel, at edge of clearing. Soil is rich loam with high organic matter, but rocky and shallow. |
