Habitat:Mostly shaded mixed hardwood/pine forest of Acer, Fagus, Liquidambar and Pinus. Growing in rich soil under thick leaf litter. Leaves seen in spring 2001. Sparse in this location with Utularia, Toxicodendron, Polygonatum, Athyrium, and Onoclea.
