When Gray transferred this taxon to Amianthium, in error he tweaked the original spelling of the epithet "muscitoxicum" to "muscaetoxicum".  The incorrect spelling has been used in many botanical works since.  According ot the code it is permissible to correct the epithet to the original spelling.--B.R.
